You talk to the owner who builds it.
It is 11 p.m. on a 95-degree night in Holmen. Somebody's AC just died. They reach for the phone, Google 'AC repair Holmen,' and call whichever HVAC company loads first with a number visible. Right now that company is whoever bought a Google Ads slot this week, not the HVAC company who has been doing the work in this market for fifteen years. You.
A competitor's site shows up first in Holmen searches. Yours does not. The why is structural, not a copy tweak.
Emergency calls go to whichever HVAC company shows up first in Google. That is rarely you.
You install three different brands but your site only mentions one.
Maintenance plan signups happen by phone because the site has no online way to ask.
You serve six towns and a chunk of two counties, but your site lists "Greater Madison area".
Most websites are 5-page brochures. Yours becomes a matrix: every service you sell, in every town you cover, on its own page that ranks for the search that matches it. The page count compounds. The ranking compounds. So does the lead flow.
Same approach, three different home-service industries. These numbers come from the live sites running today.
Service-by-town matrix built around the franchisee's dealer network. Currently the highest-ranking AAC franchisee in their territory.
Replaced a slow WordPress site with 99 legacy URL redirects preserved so the existing search rankings carried over instead of dying in 404s.
Most HVAC companies we talk to have already been pitched by a marketing agency with a glossy deck. Here is what we do differently and why it costs less.
A year in, the after-hours phone is the calendar-builder, not the panic line. The site ranks for 'AC repair,' 'furnace install,' 'mini-split,' and 'duct cleaning' in Holmen and three nearby towns. Maintenance-plan signups happen through a form because the page selling them actually exists. You spend less on Google Ads and more on the crew.
Week 1Service-and-town matrix approved (AC, furnace, ductwork, IAQ x every town you cover).
Week 2Site live. 24-hour phone sticky on every page. GBP refreshed.
Month 3Ranking for emergency search terms in Holmen and your top three nearby towns.
Month 6After-hours calls come to you first. Maintenance-plan signups going through the site.
Month to month · Bring your domain · We build, host and own the site · Walk away whenever
For reference A full year of this is less than what most contractor-marketing agencies charge for the discovery deck.
Same price whether your site has 20 pages or 200. Hosting, updates, Google Business Profile, and the lead form all included. Nothing extra to bolt on, nothing metered, no surprise invoice when traffic grows.
What is in the $497: design, build, hosting, lead form, Google Business Profile management, monthly content updates, and the owner who built your site picking up the phone when you call. No middlemen, no per-page upcharges, no offshore subcontracting.
How it works: you are subscribing to the website, not buying it. We build it, host it, and keep adding to it every month, and it stays ours — that is why nothing is due up front and nothing ties you in. Your domain is yours and so is every lead it brings you. Cancel and the site comes down, and we point your domain wherever you say.

Usually one to two weeks from our first call. The last two sites we launched went live in 10 days and 6 days. Your Holmen site can be ranking the same week.
The owner. One studio in Wisconsin. No middlemen, no overseas teams, no offshore subcontracting. We work with US companies only. Holmen is one of 110 Wisconsin towns we cover, plus markets across the Upper Midwest.
No. We build hvac websites for HVAC companies across Wisconsin including Onalaska, La Crosse, and West Salem. Every HVAC company client we work with gets a page for every town they serve, not just the one they are based in.
You keep your domain and every lead the site captured. The website itself stays ours - it is a service we build, host, and run, not a file we hand over - so we take it offline and point your domain wherever you want. No exit fee. No fine print. Same policy for Holmen clients as anywhere else.
Nobody honest will promise you a Google ranking, and we will not either. What we promise is the work: a site built right, set up for local search from day one, with a real page for hvac website design in Holmen so you actually have a shot at ranking. That is more than most of your competitors have.
Holmen is one of the fastest-growing western Wisconsin communities, just north of La Crosse and Onalaska. New construction drives install work and the established neighborhoods keep recurring trade work steady.
Holmen has no National Register listing inside the village at all. The only entries anywhere near town are the Midway Village Site, an archaeological site west of the village listed in 1978, and the McGilvray Road bridges out in the Black River bottoms, so there is no historic district here and no protected old fabric to work around. The village counted 584 people in 1950 and 2,411 in 1980, then 9,005 in 2010 and 10,661 in 2020. Almost every house standing in Holmen went up after 1980, which means the 1990s and 2000s subdivisions are hitting their first roof, siding, deck, and driveway replacement all at once.
The School District of Holmen is the biggest employer in the village, with 3,787 students across seven schools and 563.54 full-time-equivalent staff in 2024-25. There is no hospital and no large plant in town. The region's anchors, Gundersen Health System and Mayo Clinic Health System and Kwik Trip, all sit down the highway in La Crosse and Onalaska, and the average Holmen commute runs 23.6 minutes against a metro average of 20.1. Median household income here is $79,899 and the median owner-occupied home is worth $285,900, both above the La Crosse metro, so the buyer is a two-income commuter household that is gone all day and shops contractors on a phone at night.
Holmen is pinned between the Black River bottoms on the west and the Driftless bluffs on the east, which is why the village runs about seven miles north to south along Highways 53 and 35 instead of spreading out in a circle. That geology decides whether exterior work survives: USGS mapping has Halfway Creek passing through Holmen incised into a terrace of late Pleistocene sand and sandy gravel, and the Van Loon Wildlife Area, 4,003 acres of floodplain forest 3.5 miles northwest, sits on the same sand and gravel deposits. Ground like that drains fast, which is a real advantage for footings and slabs, but Wisconsin still sets the code minimum footing at 48 inches below grade. Anything poured shallow to save a day gets found the next spring.
The page you are reading is one of 21 service pages built for Holmen alone. Each one targets the specific search a buyer in this market actually types. That is the matrix at work, scaled to a single city.
Tell us about your business. We get back the same business day. No sales deck, no pressure. The owner who builds your site is the one who answers the phone.
