What we collect and what we do with it
We collect what it takes to build and run your website, we share it only with the services that make that work, and we never sell it. The rest of this page is the detail.

What we collect on this site
When you send us a message through the contact form: your name, your email, your phone number if you give it, your business name, your website and what you wrote.
When you use the shared lead calculator: the four numbers you typed, and your email if you ask for the PDF. A result page has its own link, and anyone with the link can see the numbers on it. It never shows your name or your email.
When you sign up: your name, your email, your phone number, your business name, your current website, your Google Business Profile link if you have one, your services and the towns you work in.
When you upload files or share a Google Drive link: whatever is in them. Usually that's photos of your work, a logo and a document about your services.
When you pay: Stripe takes your card. We never see the number. Stripe gives us an account ID and tells us whether the payment went through.
On every visit: our servers log your IP address, your browser and the pages you opened. That's for security, and to see which pages get read. There's no analytics tool on this site today. If we add one, we'll name it here.
What we collect on your website, for you
Your website has lead forms. When someone fills one out, we get their name, their phone number, their email, their town and what they wrote. We handle it for one reason: to get it to you. A text, an email and a copy in your account.
Those leads are yours. We don't sell them, rent them or use them to market anything, and we don't contact your leads ourselves.
Our servers keep the same basic logs for your site as they do for this one: IP address, browser and pages opened, for security.
We connect your site to Google Search Console and read its reports: which searches bring your site up, in which towns, and how often. We keep those reports so we can show you where you started and where you are now.

Who we share it with
We share information only with the services it takes to run this:
- Stripe, for payment
- Twilio, for text messages
- SendGrid, for email
- DigitalOcean, where the sites and the database run
- Cloudflare, which sits in front of the sites and handles the domains
- Google, for Search Console and for getting your pages listed
Each of them gets only what it needs for its job. We don't sell your information to anyone and we don't share it with advertisers. If the law requires us to hand something over, we will, and we'll tell you when we're allowed to.
How long we keep it
Your account information: while you're a customer, and for 30 days after you cancel. Then we delete it.
Your leads: as long as you're a customer. When you cancel, ask before your last day and we'll send you a copy. Thirty days after you cancel, we delete them.
Your uploads: while you're a customer, and for the same 30 days after. Then they're deleted with your account.
Search Console records for your site: we keep those, including after you cancel. They're the record of where your site started and where it ended up.
Messages, site checks and calculator runs from people who never sign up: 12 months, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.
Billing records: as long as tax and accounting rules say we have to.
Your choices
Email hey@bindingstone.com and we'll show you what we hold about you, fix it or delete it. If you're a customer, deleting your account information means we can't run your site, so it's the same as canceling.
If we ever send marketing email, every one will have an unsubscribe link. Texts and emails about your leads, your bill or your site aren't marketing. The emails keep coming while you're a customer. The texts stop whenever you reply STOP.
SMS messaging and mobile information
When you check the text message box on a form and give us your phone number, we may send text messages to that number. If you signed up, they're about your leads and your account. If you sent us a message through the contact form, they're about that message. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
SMS consent is not a condition of purchase. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message we send you, or by emailing hey@bindingstone.com. The full terms for our texts are on the text message terms page.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies it needs to work, like the one that keeps you signed in to your account and the one that protects forms. No ad tracking and no third-party cookies.
Children
This is a service for businesses. It isn't for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change matters to you as a customer, we'll email you about it.
