Questions
The questions people ask before they start
Short answers, the same ones we give by email. If yours isn't here, send it to us from the contact page.
Do I own the website?
No. We build it, run it and keep it working. If you cancel, the subscription stops and the site comes down. There's no contract to get out of.
Can I keep my own domain name?
Yes. Your domain stays yours. We point it at our servers. If you don't have one yet, we help you pick a good one and set it up. You buy it, for a small yearly fee to the company you register it with, so it's in your name from day one.
I already have a website.
We replace it. Your web address stays the same, and the new site goes up in its place.
I'm just starting out and have no website.
Then we build the whole thing from nothing, and it's live in about ten days like anybody else's. You tell us the business name, what you sell and the towns you'll drive to, we help you get a web address, and we set your Google listing up with you so the site and the listing match on day one. Photos don't hold it up: we build with stand-in pictures and put yours in as you send them. Same $497 a month.
What if I already show up in my own town?
Good, that's a start. The other towns you work in are where the growth is.
How do I show up on Google in the next town over?
Google gives every town its own list, built from websites that say in plain words they work there. If your site only talks about your home town, you're not on the next town's list, however good your work is. The fix is a real page on your site for that service in that town, written like the rest of the site. We build one for every town you work in and tell Google about each one.
What is local SEO for contractors?
Local SEO is showing up when someone in a town searches for your work, not just where your shop is. It comes down to three things: a page on your site for that service in that town, a Google Business Profile that matches your site name for name and number for number, and reviews from real jobs. It's not ads. It's real pages, kept up to date, that Google can find.
Do I have to write anything?
No. We write every page. You send photos of your work and tell us your services and your towns.
Is this the same as the Google calls I get?
No. This is your own website, built to show up on Google in every town you work in, and we run it for you. We don't sell ads or listing fixes.
Do you handle my Google Business Profile?
It stays yours. We line it up with the site so the two say the same thing, and we help when something on it needs changing. If you're starting out and don't have one yet, we set it up with you while we build the site.
How do I get into the map pack?
The map pack is the three businesses Google shows on the map before the list. Getting in takes a page on your website for that service in that town, a Google listing that matches your website, and reviews from finished jobs. The site gives you the page, we line your listing up with it, and the lead system asks every finished job for a review with a link to your listing.
Do you buy links or reviews?
No. Every page is real, every review comes from a real job, and we don't touch anything that gets a site penalized.
Will my business show up in AI answers?
That's the aim, and it takes the same work. Google's AI answers, ChatGPT and the rest pull from pages that answer a question plainly, with the facts in one place, and every page we write is built that way. One customer's Eau Claire page was being quoted in Google's answer for their trade within weeks of going live. No one can promise what an answer engine will quote, the same as with rankings.
What does a contractor website cost?
Bought separately, a contractor website runs $2,500 to $6,000 to build, then $650 to $2,150 a month for local SEO, hosting and a lead app, plus $300 to $1,200 for each extra town page. Here it's $497 a month for all of it: the site, a page for every service in every town you work in, hosting, your Google listing lined up, and leads to your phone. No setup fee, no contract.
How fast do you make changes?
Usually within 48 hours. Tell us what you want changed and we handle it.
What do you need from me?
Your services, the towns you work in, your current website if you have one, and photos of your work.
Do you only work with concrete?
No. We build for any home service business that drives to its customers: concrete coatings, sealcoating, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, fencing, remodeling. The pages work the same way for every one of them.
Ready to show up
in every town you work in?
Your site can be live in about ten days. After that, the towns you drive to can find you.
